    Crystal Structure (P2 Type):

    It belongs to a layered structure. Transition metals (M/T) and oxygen atoms form a close-packed "framework", and sodium ions are located in the layered gaps between these frameworks. The "P" indicates that the layered gaps where sodium ions reside have a trigonal prismatic coordination. The "2" indicates that a single unit cell contains two layers of such transition metal-oxygen layers.
